Air conditioned family/ double en- suite room can be accessed separately from the house and has been individually decorated and furnished with antiques of the period . We have an additional dressing room with wardrobe and fully furnished private sitting room with chest of drawers attached to the family en-suite room. The monsoon Ayurveda treatment in Kerala

Ajanaya kalari sankam, and Kanjirakkattu Heritage Home Kottayam, jointly invites people from all land to participate in the Ayurveda Monsoon Treatment (Karkidaka Chikitsa).

The monsoon Ayurveda treatment starts from June 5th and will last up till mid August. This treatment is aimed for body, mind detoxification and beautification. It rejuvenates the whole body using various Ayurvedic therapies.

Karkidaka Chikitsa.

The treatments are ideal for seven, fourteen to twenty one days. It can be taken up to 40 days. The Karkidaka Chikitsa or monsoon treatment also known as Rithu charya treatment and has been arranged in the traditional manner by Anjanaya kalari sankam and Kanjirakkattu Heritage Home Kottayam.

Importance of Karkidaka Chikitsa (Monsoon Treatment)
In monsoon season all the Tridoshas namely Vata, Pitha, Kapha aggravates the body. It is the ideal time to flush out all impurities and to bring back all the tridoshas to balanced state. This comes under Sodhana Chikitsa (Elimination and purification). This therapy purifies the whole body to attain proper balance of Thridoshas (Vata, Pitha, Kapha) and enhances immunity thus to maintain health.

Treatment includes Snehapana, Abhyangam (General Massage), Nasyam (Medicated Oils poured through nostrils), Pizhichil, Dhara, Virechanam, Njavarakizhi, Tharpanam (Medicated ghee or medicines kept over eyes), Karnapooranam (Medicated fumes applied to ears), Medicated steam bath and Vasthi.

This includes Ayurveda food. (Karkidaka Kanji). Initially you will have a detailed consultation with the the doctor who will then advice the type of treatment suitable for your health condition.

The therapies are done at Anjanaya . Trained male and female therapists will conduct the Karkidaka Chikitsa under the supervision of doctors and kalari grand master.
Accommodation will be arranged at Kanjirakkattu heritage home. The food will be strict Ayurveda diet which includes the medicinal porridge “Karkidaka Kanji”.
